5NP Texas bridges the gap to crucial mental health support by expanding access to the 5-Needle Ear Acupuncture Protocol. Designed for individuals navigating chronic stress, trauma, and addiction, our specialized training program—led by certified POCA instructors—equips practitioners with the skills to deliver safe, effective 5NP care.
5NP Texas Course Description
The 5-Needle Protocol training is 70 hours, divided into didactic and clinical experiences. It is a three day, in-person training with a short, online, follow-up session scheduled by the group a month later. Participants learn auricular point locations, needling techniques, clean needle precautions, tenets of traditional Chinese medicine, Taoist philosophy of wellbeing, clinical strategies for application and integration of the 5-needle protocol into treatment programs and psychotherapy. Training is conducted in a clinical setting allowing trainees valuable hands-on experience with a client population.
Trainees are responsible for completing supervised clinical experiences (which can be done virtually) and homework assignments and will not be considered eligible for a certificate until completion.
This class is packed with information and can sometimes be a paradigm shift for clinicians. We try to balance the pressure of that work with a number of relaxation practices to demonstrate the real nature of the 5NP experience, yin replenishment! We love creating these trainings and hope to work with you.
DATE/TIME
5NP Texas training is typically conducted Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 to 5:00, unless otherwise noted. Trainees are responsible for scheduling supervised clinical experiences and homework assignments and will not be considered eligible for Texas certification until training is completed.
CREDIT
A total of 24 CEU hours are offered including ethics and universal precautions. You must be present during the entire course and submit an evaluation form upon the completion of training to receive CEUs.
COST
$1000.00 payable by check or credit card to 5NP Texas. Fees include training materials, starter supplies, CEUs and Supervision through licensure and beyond. A non-refundable deposit of $500 secures your spot in training. This deposit can be used for a future training if you must cancel.
OBJECTIVES
Participants will learn the 5-needle auricular acupuncture protocol point locations, needling techniques, clean needle / universal precautions, tenets of traditional Chinese medicine, Taoist philosophy of well-being, and clinical strategies for application and integration of ear acupuncture into treatment programs, psychotherapy and other healing work.
