About the event
Free Community 5NP Auricular Acupuncture Group
Join us every Friday for a quiet, welcoming community acupuncture experience designed to support stress relief, relaxation, emotional regulation, sleep, and overall nervous system well-being.
The Five Needle Protocol (5NP) is a simple form of auricular (ear) acupuncture that uses five very small, sterile, single-use needles placed at specific points in each ear. The protocol is offered in a comfortable group setting and is designed to be non-verbal—you do not need to talk about what you are experiencing, share a diagnosis, or participate in group therapy.
What to Expect
When you arrive, a trained 5NP practitioner will briefly explain the process and answer any questions. After the needles are gently placed, you’ll simply sit comfortably and rest quietly with the group, typically for about 30–45 minutes.
Many people describe feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, sleepy, or simply more settled after a session. Others may notice more subtle effects. There is no particular way you are expected to feel, and you are welcome to use the time for quiet meditation, reflection, or simply rest.
5NP has been used in behavioral health, trauma-informed care, disaster response, addiction recovery
and community wellness settings as a non-pharmaceutical, non-verbal supportive practice.
No previous experience with acupuncture or meditation is needed.
